SARAH KIM
INSTRUCTOR
PILATES
An Australian concert cellist, Sarah grew up leading an active lifestyle, swimming competitively through her teen years. Despite her discipline, she was plagued with mysterious injuries throughout her life. It wasn’t until discovering she was hypermobile as a young adult—and stumbling upon a Pilates studio just across the street from her apartment in Germany—that she finally began to understand movement on a deeper level. Through Pilates, she learned how to move with strength, control, and ease, both in everyday life and in her cello playing, all while remaining injury-free. After moving to LA, Sarah found Common Ground Pilates soon after it opened and instantly fell in love—not just with the small, focused classes, but with the welcoming, inclusive community that Lulu had built. She became a devoted client, and with Lulu’s encouragement and support, went on to complete her teacher training with her mentor herself. True to form, Sarah continues to “practice what she teaches” and can still be found taking classes at Common Ground Pilates several times a week.
